I'm having RN 0.64.0. I'm having the same issue. So i tried yours and created a patch and applied it too. But when i run "cd android && ./gradlew ReactAndroid:installArchives", i get this following error
Project 'ReactAndroid' not found in root project xxxx.
can you please help as i'm under the pump to do this soon.
